A pharmacist named Caleb Bradham made Pepsi to cure stomach aches. He named it after the medicine pepsin. Even though Pepsi didn't contain the kola nut or pepsin it was still called Pepsi Cola to compete with Coke a cola.

When Pepsi was first being sold in soda fountains it only cost 5¢ for a glass about 6.5oz of Pepsi. Then, Pepsi's founder Caleb Bradham invented the metal crown cap and started selling 6.5oz of Pepsi in a glass bottle. It was all so sold for 5¢. CocaCola soon caught on to selling pop in a glass bottle so Pepsi started selling a 12oz bottle of Pepsi for the same price.

The word "pop" came from the noise made when you removed the crown cap off a bottle of Pepsi.

During world war I Caleb saw the maneuverability of the new plains and also saw sky writing being developed.
